Teaching photography online: New tools

Recently I went from teaching face-to-face photography classes to teaching online. Transitioning to online classes has been challenging for me, as well as my students, but this challenge has also allowed me to get creative with how I present material. 

These images were captured during a zoom class using one off camera flash and no light modifiers. The concepts were to think about moving the source closer for dramatic shadows and farther for soft, natural light. All images are SOOC, next week is Lightroom then retouching.

I’m sure my class got a kick out of me bossing my children around as they have become my new production crew. Thank you Ella & Austin ❤️ Love mom.
