COMM 220: Visual Storytelling Through Composite Imagery

In COMM 220, students explore elements of visual storytelling, transforming short stories or songs into complex, multi-layered narratives using advanced digital techniques. This project pushes the boundaries of traditional compositing, encouraging students to explore a wide range of digital media.

Students select a short story or song as their inspiration, then create a comprehensive visual representation. The project's open-ended nature allows for diverse interpretations and outputs, including 2D, 3D, video, and conceptual RPG elements and packaging design.

A key aspect of this project is that students create all content themselves. This approach ensures a deep engagement with various aspects of digital media creation, fostering a well-rounded skill set.

The digital media industry is vast and constantly evolving.
