Survival Strategy

Largely ignoring my blog during the pandemic I’ve started sinking into a mild photographic depression. I always look at the beautiful butterflies and beetles for inspiration in how to express my thoughts in a photograph. Just surviving has been on my mind so I thought about how do butterflies survive in nature. Personally, surviving in nature sounds horrible without a Starbucks or Wholefoods I would starve. I would be a terrible butterfly in real life. Appearing invisible is the Morpho butterfly strategy evolving to disappear and go unnoticed. Fluttering and floating in the air then folding up and being still to blending into the environment. Making images is an evolution for me, they help me move from one thought to the next.
