Viva Golden Lens 2025

Congrats to all the creative that supported a 3rd year of Golden Lens!!!!! Thanks to The Prize Foundation, Bossier Parish Community College Foundation Board, and The Ross Lynn Charitable Foundation for supporting this event. This year our distinguished juror led an educational panel discussion. Ben Hickey, executive director of CEPA Gallery in Buffalo, N.Y. Hickey shared insights into the submission process for competitions, exhibition insight, and residencies, offering strategies for photographers and artists to stand out in a competition. 

The Grand Prize was awarded to Jacob Mitchell for his image "Blue In Green" & People's Choice award winner goes to "Stillness" by Jill Stripling.

Juror: Ben Hickey brings a wealth of experience, with more than 100 exhibition credits and collaborations with renowned artists such as Dawoud Bey, Sonya Clark, and Letitia Huckaby. Before leading CEPA Gallery, he served as curator of exhibitions at the Hilliard Art Museum in Lafayette, La., where he developed innovative projects integrating social history and interdisciplinary approaches.
